Could you please change $development to true in config.php around line 43.

After that, there is a log file in the error_logs folder, and the log messages in appache error log are mote verbose.

So far I don't have a clue why its not working.

FIXED!
I've found the issue. It was a permissions issue on the www and html parent directories, they were still root root and not apache apache.

chown'd them to apache apache and rebooted the server and voila!! working!
