Just wondering if anyone is using a third party quiz engine (like iSpring's HTML5 package) in XOT? Any gotcha's in doing this?

Thanks

Output from tools like iSpring and Articulate work fine via the embed content page but you need a way of getting the content online first before you can generate the URL to embed it. e.g. The HTML 5 output from these tools just like exported Xerte content is a series of files and sub folders not just a single file that you can upload via xot itself.
Hope tha makes sense.

Hello Ron - thanks - that's certainly a consideration.

Do you know if there is any activity / plans to put more horsepower into XOT's quizzing engine?

Thanks

Hello Again (Ron) and All:

I just did a quick review of iSpring quiz and while it's well done with good features, I'd certainly rather stay with the built in XOT quiz engine. There's a few things ispring does that xot does not - review answer choices, include audio for questions and distractors (important to us), include video for a question, etc. XOT has these capabilities but are not implemented. The ispring 'look and feel' is better as well, it's hard to describe but it's more full screen with better spacing and doesn't looked cramped like the XOT page can.

In XOT V2.1 there are two checkboxes on the bottom of the quiz page: 'show advanced options' and 'show language options'. Show language options works but 'show advanced options' is greyed out. You are not waiting for my birthday to activate this are you? I've stopped having birthdays and wouldn't want to wait. Anyone know what's hidden under this checkbox? Is anyone currently working on the quiz engine in XOT?
