Loop after clicking edit or create

Dear all,

I'm new to XERTE and I'm having a phenomenon. Please check the attached image; whenever I click the edit button or create the popup doesn't loads the editor screen but the same page in the popup itself.

What am I missing?
I'm sorry if this question isn't well categorized within the forum.

How is this Xerte installed? As ar as I can tell, apache url rewriting is turned on (the editor shows the url xerte.o-health-edu.org/edithtml_4 ).

Somehow the rewrite URL's are incorrect.

Easiest would be to switch off the apache mode in management page.

I have Xerte installed in a shared hosting account, nothing out of the ordinary, Linux - Apache, PHP...
I set htaccess to false and it seems to be working. Is this normal?

If you installed Xerte using the zip download from th ecommunity website, or from github, then no, the htaccess should have worked as well. Apparently it is broken. The .htaccess file is not correct.

I'll create an issue on github to check the .htaccess generation process.
