Hi Guys,
We're producing a training package and have been asked if there was a way to stop the student from just clicking through the package without reading or completing an action. I've set up a sign as a hotspot that the student needs to click on to read the text, is there a way I can set that the student has to click on the hotspot or do something (acknowledge) before progressing to the next page?

Many thanks in advance,

Andy

HI
there are loads of ways that you can control navigation in Xerte including:
Changing the default linear navigation to one of the other options such as Historic
Hiding the footer and therefore default navigation for the whole LO
Using the Force First Page option to prevent url linking to later pages
Every page type allows you to hide one or more of the default navigation controls and use Xerte page links within your content
For non interactive pages just include Xerte Page Links within the contents
For interactive pages use different Xerte page links within the feedback for each answer
Use the different connector pages to provide navigation choices
Use the 360 image page and conditional hotspots
Use variables
Create escape room activities
Use the adaptive contents page (requires xAPI)

At previous f2f and online conferences there have been sessions focussed on non-linear navigation including:
