Where to begin!

All looked easy, everything installed, but after spending best part of an hour trying to find out where to create something I gave up. I downloaded the "online toolkit", that didn't help. The tutorials are pretty much U/S as they aren't relevant any more.......how about a step by step guide written for an easy start! I'm tech savvy too, so feel sorry for anyone that thought this was an easy setup and use.....

If you installed with default authentication (Guest) you will not see the login page, nd also miss the button with a demo:

Hi Tom, I installed this on my web server via Softalicous, so it's my own install, not a guest. Can you tell me exactly which file i need to point my web browser at to allow me to access the creation tools? That would really help. Ive watched the demo video, but that's my problem....getting to the project creation page.

I don't know softalicous, so I don't know where Xerte is installed. I'll have a look later this evening.

softalicous is just an installer that runs from my webserver control panel. It automates the process. I just need the name of the html file that begins displays the tookits page. Please don't worry too much, I need something easy, and this doesn't look like it's going to be.

So normally it should be enough to point the browser to the folder where Xerte is installed.
