Here at the International Study and Language Institute at the University of Reading we got into Xerte only a few months ago, after a frustrating 6 months with Captivate. We're really positive about Xerte, because it enables academics to create genuinely engaging online learning materials, and there's an impressive range of optionality. We realise we missed the Xerte Conference in April (?) 2016. Is there any plan for another conference in the near future?
Hi Jonathan
good to hear that you are finding Xerte useful.
Are you aware that many of the sessions at last years conference were recorded and available via xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=1#page4
We did send out a survey towards the end of 2016 to gauge interest in another conference this year and would still like to do that but at the moment we have prioritised a developer gathering (hackathon) to improve the tools even further. That gathering is happening very soon so there will hopefully be news afterwards about all the developments added and planned as well as perhaps plans for a conference later in the year if we can make that happen.
