The xerte recipes page says that the recipe zip file can be downloaded, but i don't see any link to any zip file. Unable to find the zip file for any recipe. Where can i find the links?

The links are in the Lo's themselves - at least some of them.

But try the following:

vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xerte/export_139

vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xerte/export_140

vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xerte/export_174

vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xerte/export_142

vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xerte/export_663

When you've imported and reviewed them and perhaps applied some of the suggested techniques share your thoughts and your own examples.

Thanks for the links. Now I face another issue.
1. The import in my local installation does not appar to load the contents. After import of the zip file it shows blank, like a brand new project.
2. Also, when I extract and double click on the index page, the page says "The project data has not loaded." with no further information

Good afternoon

Reopening an old thread as there doesn't seem to be an answer.

I am looking into ways of creating touch-screen exhibits for a local volunteer-run museum without having to buy Windows PCs just to run PowerPoint. I want to use a web-based system running on Raspberry Pis, and eventually found Xerte. I've installed the online toolkit on localhost on a PC to develop the presentations, and that's working. But as a new arrival to Xerte, I would very much like to get hold of examples of LOs so that I can understand how they work and look at them in Xerte 2.18. When I try to access any of the "recipes" on www.xerte.org.uk/index.php?option=com_co...n&Itemid=716&lang=en they do not run - I get a pop-up window with a rotating dot which goes round for ever.

I wonder how I can access the zip files?

Hi,

You should be able to find some good examples at this link www.xerte.org.uk/index.php?option=com_k2...=&Itemid=698&lang=en

Thank you, John, but perhaps you misunderstand me. I have looked at some of those. I want to be able to look at the underlying structure of an LO rather than just the finished product. That is, to load it into Xerte 2.18 and see how the tools there relate to the finished product. I need more control over appearance and controls than seems to be available working within in the online toolkit. I could spend many hours trying to work out Xerte 2.18 on my own, but if I had an LO or two it would make that process shorter.
