Not a 'zip' file message on Importing LO

On trying to import an LO into a new installation of Xerte I get a strange message.

I export the object as normal from my local computer and create a zip file , when I try to import it I get a message "You can only import zip files" . This is clearly a zip file so what else could trigger the message ? Could it be linked to particular media / image types in this file. I don't get this warning for other zip files.

Is this particular zip file larger than the others? There are limits to the size of files you can upload to XOT. Those limits are not limits of Xerte itself but of PHP.

You can check/set the limits in php.ini. If you still have the setup folder in you installation, you can check http://<xerte root>/setup/phpinfo.php for th location of this file for your installation.

In addition to what Tom has suggested check permissions on the import folder.
Also when you say that you exported as normal from your local computer you do mean from an xot/xammp install rather than desktop Xerte? Can you attach a copy of the zip you are trying to import or a screenshot of it's file listing?
