Hi both,
John, Bruce is at SOAS which is literally a stones throw (maybe 25 metres away from me)
So I'll pop over and do some breaking of things.

John,

Sorry about the slow reply, I got dragged away to something else.

The line you mention was exactly as you typed it. Is that good or bad?

That was in Firefox, which I generally use.

I then tried in IE10. Which wouldn't let me get at the source of the edit screen.
But, ... it did upload the image correctly!

What's going on there? Is it an 'unadvertised feature' that can be changed to work with Firefox (I've not tried any other browsers yet)? I know there are a few people around who are rather resistant to being forced to use Microsoft.

Cheers,

Bruce

Hmm... sounds like the dreaded Flash-Firefox bug... although we've all tried it in Firefox and it now works.

Pat is about to head in your direction so mention to him... if he/you comments out lines 55-58 (the session check) and it works in firefox then it is and we'll need to investigate further.

What version of Firefox are you using? Try the latest if you can (but let me know the current one so we can debug).

We're not that keen on IE either, Chrome is my browser of choice...

John,

I'm running 'Firefox 21.0', which it claims is up to date.
I'll try commenting out those lines you mention, although it'll have to wait a while as I'm off to a meeting in a moment.

Pat,

As I just said, I'm off to a meeting, so best not to head over. Not today at least.

I'll post what I find on here.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Cheers,

Bruce

Pat will probably pay you a visit at some point but in the meantime, if you get a chance, try completely wiping the cache in Firefox. Can't see if this was an upgrade or completely new install but if it was an upgrade then there were a few changes in edit.php that could cause this...

Also, what authentication are you using?

Have tried in Firefox 21.0 here and can't replicate the issue so very curious to what it is...
