New 3.15 install issue

We have built a new server on Windows 2022, and are running php 8.2 and mysql 8 (WAMP).

During the setup process if we select to use Db authentication process, the login page appears and we can login as "admin" which then redirects us to management.php

However if we select Ldap authentication and configure the record in the ldap table, the login page does not load, and management.php redirects back to index.php which again fails to load.

If I change the authentication type back to Db in the sitedetails table, then the login page appears.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated, as we have assessments coming up, and need to have the service ready for then.

what Xerte version are you testing this with?
when you say "configure the record in the Ldap table" are you doing that via the management page or direct in the DB?
Have you checked the system requirements xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=81#systemrequirements and is the LDAP extension definitely enabled?
Try the following:
Set the auth back to db, login to management and check/populate the LDAP settings via the management page.
Set $development = true; around line 43 of config.php
Set auth method to Ldap via management and test login
Check apache error.log and also xerte debug.log
Also make sure that your xerte server can reach your ldap server.
BTW most Universities and some others have switched to Saml2/SSO rather than Ldap which can also be tricky to get working at first but once set up works very well. Look at the instructions inside the 3.15 download for that.
