It's 5 days before Christmas so I'm not expecting any response as most will have finished for the Christmas break if you work in FE/HE.

I'm wondering if any institutions out there who use Blackboard Learn Ultra have experienced the following scenario and if so how did you fix it?:

Scenario: Exporting a XOT project using the Get Deployment Zip to use in a Learn Ultra course. I should add this always worked in Learn Original so I suspect something has changed on the Learn Ultra side rather than there being an issue with Xerte but that's just my opinion. I'm testing this on v3.13 but the issue does exist in v3.12.29.

Steps Taken
1. Export XOT project as Get Deployment Zip
2. Within Learn Ultra, go to Tools - content collection and navigate to course
3. Click on 'Create Folder,' give it a name e.g. 'project 1', then click Submit
4. Click on the newly created folder then select Upload - Upload Zip Package
5. Click on 'Browse Local Files,' to locate the Get Deployment Zip file downloaded in step 1.
6. Select Submit.
7. Next, close the Content Collection and go to your Learn Ultra course
8. Click on the 'x' icon and select 'Content Collection' then 'Browse content Collection'
9. Navigate to the folder created in step 3
10. Place a tick next to 'index.htm' and click Submit, then Save

Expected behaviour: When users click on the index.htm from the Learn Ultra Course Content page, the Xerte project opens.
Actual behaviour: Xerte project does not load, see attached file for what is actually displayed.

Note: the majority of our users do use the url link or embed code to deploy their Xerte projects but having used the export functionality in the past, I'm interested to know why its not working now.

Xerte release tested: v3.13
Browser: Google Chrome version 131.0.6778.140 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Learn Ultra release: 3900.106.0-rel.36+f7d939c

Hi,

Regrettably, I don't see the file attached. Can you try to add that again?

Hi Tom,

The zip file I'm trying to attach exceeds the 10mb limit, so here is a link to the file. Let me know if you've downloaded it so I can close the link: drive.google.com/file/d/1q_aIWwKEUKcqMXP.../view?usp=drive_link

Hi, in our institution, we recommend adding the Xerte object as LTI Tool Link or just use the Web Link option. Is there any particular reason to upload it as a zip file to the Content Collection?

Yes, we recommend using either the direct URL or embed code for Xerte projects, however, occasionally we have found it helpful to run Xerte projects using Get Deployment, particularly if updates are infrequent or there is a planned outage that would impact connectivity to the server. As I've mentioned it used to work, so I'm just trying to understand why it's not working.
