If you still have the setup folder in your install, you could check whther zip is enable by going to http://url of xot/setup/phpinfo.php

Hi Tom,

No setup directory anymore but I've quickly added a phpinfo page and can confirm that the zip extension shows as enabled.

Thanks

Craig

Hi
just quickly reading this it sounds to me like your import/export is working fine but to clarify...

When you export a project from older or current versions of xot you will get a zip containing files and subfolders with files.
You have to extract that zip to be able to view the index.htm file via a web browser.
You should be able to import that zip as it is back into another installation or the same installation but when you do the project folder in the USER-FILES directory only needs the preview.xml and media folder. Once you edit/publish you'll see data.xml there too.
The current and more recent versions have two main templates - the XOT/Nottingham template and the Bootstrap template however earlier versions also had separate templates called media interactions and multiple perspectives. I've you've exported projects based on those templates and imported into version 2 or later they probably won't work in the new install although they can potentially be made to work but only via the Flash player engine.
Any projects you import will be private by default until you change that via properties and then publish

Hey Ron,

I've seen an example, and it only contains a preview.xml and a media folder. So this probably is from a temlpate not recognised by the old system any more? I don't know. Will look in the code, and try to figure out when export will behave like that.

Hi Tom
3 thoughts...
Project hasn't been published.
Project was created with Xerte not xot
Project based on one of the deprecated project templates - obviously you should be able to tell that from the first line of the xml?

Most of the old templates should have now been absorbed into the Nottingham one now I believe so this could be something that we could tackle in the future - taking pages from older templates and converting them to Nottingham?
