Section IDs Issue

We've recently decided to apply the newly released section IDs feature to our resources developed in Bootstrap template. However, after applying the section IDs, the internal links that were used for these sections didn't seem to work anymore. It also has some conflicts with the system generated ids (based on section number) and caused issues for internal navigation. Please can someone help to look into this.

we're probably going to need more detail and a copy of your example to investigate.
Can you share co-author access with my account on your install or give a copy of the project to my account to investigate and let me know when done along with specific details? Including the project ID and name if shared or just name if given.
The sections IDs have to be unique across the whole project and it can be tricky to keep track of over time because there isn't an easy way to check all the IDs used short of trawling through the pages and sections in the authoring interface.
I don't think we're aware of any issues/conflicts with internal links or system generated ID's but of course there could be something we've missed given the mix of possible permutations.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I have created a copy of the project with detail below and shared the project with you as co-author on our Xerte setup.

Name: Section IDs Test
ID: 20441

In the example project, I have added a group of links using the internal links function to link to different sections. I have also added a unique section id to "Creating a Test" section. As you can see, the internal link for that section doesn't work anymore once the section id been added. The rest of the links work fine.

thanks for sharing the project with my account and for the additional info.
I've done some initial tests and it seems like you've found a bug. I've created a separate test project in one of our installs and will add this as an issue for us to investigate further and hopefully fix. I'll reply again once there is anything further to report.
For anyone else reading this thread it seems at the moment there is a bug whereby if you have internal 'page links' to specific sections either on the same page or other pages then the individual links stop working if you had a section ID to the target section.
