workspace not displaying created folders

Hi, I have installed xerte 3.11.8 via softaculous and with php 7.4, but in the workspace when i create a folder, they do not display. They are being created in the db, just not displaying in the workspace.

I think that this was a known bug that was fixed

I have checked folder_library.php and I have checked the folderrights table in the db and it reflects those changes. So I am not sure why I am still unable to view folders after creating them.

That fix is part of 3.11.8, so it should really be part of the install (as you confirmed).

Alos, even if that was not fixed, you should have seen your projects.

Any errors in the browser console (F12) and/or in the PHP/Apache2 error log?

NOTE: We as the Xerte project have no contact with Softaculous and we do know that they've added things like autoupdate but we don't have any idea/control over what they've changed.

Server errors and browser console show these sourcemap files not found ...

I dont think they matter though, as they look like some kind of commented reference rather than necessary code.

No php errors showing and folders are being created fine in the db.

The browser console shows an error in public_html/xerte/website_code/scripts/screen_display.js....which would make sense if the error is there

I suppose I could try installing from the source files instead of via softaculous, that maybe the only way to rule out some softaculous issue.

The issue is the error in VM436 while loading a json file. VM436 is a dynamically loaded piece of cose, so I've no idea which file that is.

If you're willing to look a bit further for us, could you start the F12 console and enable the pause on exception button (see screenshot)? Then press F5 and at the place of the issue you will get an automatic breakpoint. That should enable you to perhaps see the contents of the json file, but at the very least you can press on the VM436:1 and see which file that is. The number will probably be different though.

I did the pause at exception thing, but there seem to be quite a few showing various pages, so may be simpler for you to take a look.
