Old LO not importing into XOT 2.0

I've created a few LOs in an older version of XOT (1.8 I think) which I've exported as zip files. They work fine and I've been using them in Moodle, but now I need to change them and the old sandpit is gone.

I've tried importing them to the new JISC sandpit and to a standalone installation I have on my machine, but it hasn't worked.
On the standalone version I get a "Failed to upload" message.
Any suggestions?

In priciple this should work. Do you know what template you used in the old version?
How big are the .zip files and are the php settings such that you can upload them?

PHP by default limits the size of uploads to about 8Mb. If your LO's are bigger, you haev to change the php.ini settings.

You might try see what http://localhost/setup/phpinfo.php is returning. It shows you among others the location of the php.ini file and the max_upload_size and the max_post_size.

I used the XOT template at the time. The LOs are quite small (under 4MBs).
I'm not very technical, but I'll try to do what you recommended.
