Line spacing

When using a Fill in the blank, no matter what form, the text in the question panel does not have normal spacing, but puts an extra line between the lines, even if it is a soft return. Very annoying, as this limits the space available tremendously if you are using the default size (as I do).
I tried it in a fresh newly made module, no styles etc, example attached too.
How can I get rid of the extra spacing?

This problem seems to be recent, as I can not remember having this problems earlier.

Add the 'space lines evenly' optional property & uncheck the box:

Never noticed that one! That helps, great.
A pity it is automatically on, so I have to go through all my nearly 100 modules to uncheck that....

I have been going through all modules for several hours, just to uncheck the evenly spaced lines everywhere.
It would have been easy to make this new feature so that it is initially unchecked, that would save so much time and agony.
Am I really the only one who has had this problem?
The modules are used in this period, so they really need to be adjusted as soon as possible (see also an example of a page with and without spacing). And several other urgent tasks have to wait...

Yes - I agree it should have defaulted to the old functionality. We do normally try to introduce new features so that they won't affect old projects but have obviously missed it in this case. Sorry about that
