Hello good Xerte people,
I am very much new to the platform, but have a couple of questions. I'm not an academic, but work in the IT department and have been tasked with looking a creating on-line training material, to cover topics such as information security, classroom AV, lecture capture, etc. I am able to create a basic LO in Xerte and export as a SCORM package and import into our Moodle (3.6). With the bootstrap templates, however, only the options of a deployment or archive zip exist, and looking at the previous versions, the deployment.zip does not carry the SCORM tracking functionality.
So my question is simply, is there a way to export a bootstrap LO into Moodle with tracking?

Thanks in advance, and I hope I haven't missed something glaringly obvious!

Hi
the Bootstrap template doesn't have any scoring interactions etc so no there isn't any SCORM export for Bootstrap projects. I know there's an option to embed XOT projects in a Bootstrap project but that's mainly for people who aren't using an LMS/VLE and want a way to present a collection of LOs in a webpage style without the need for SCORM or score tracking etc. However it is possible to embed XOT projects in Bootsrap via their xAPI links where the tracking etc would then be via the Xerte dashboard.

Bottom line if you want to export as SCORM and import to an LMS/VLE use the XOT template not the Bootstrap template.

Thanks very much Ron
I had suspected as much.
I'll stick with the Xerte templates for now. Once I get a bit more savvy with the product, I might be back with some more questions!

So, if you still want to use the bootstrap template, and decide that tracking is not that important, set the access to the public, and simply place a link or embed the LO in Moodle.
