Bootstrap - can't open link in same window

Hi there,

I wondered if someone could help me with this issue I'm struggling with. I've set up some links to other pages on the Bootstrap site but I can only get them to work if I set the target to 'New Window' which isn't ideal. It doesn't want to open them within the same window (Self) and this is also the case when I've tried using the Xerte page link.

It looks like there were some fixes a couple of months ago to the way links in Bootstrap projects worked. Using the 'Xerte Page Link' method does work with the current code (does this work for you?... www.nottingham.ac.uk/toolkits/play_15377 ).

Pasting the page's URL into a normal link won't work unless the page is refreshed (or view freshly in new window).

Thanks Fay. I've set them up as Xerte Page Links but I can't seem to get it to work. If I inspect it, it says 'Navigate to Page not defined'. The one you've attached works fine for me.

I'm doing it via Birkbeck's Xerte portal. Might there be a fix update that they need to run?

It's a good idea for the install to be as up to date as possible (v3.3 was released last week with lots of bug fixes & some new features too)

I think I've just found a workaround that might work for you though ( github.com/thexerteproject/xerteonlinetoolkits/issues/426 ). If you view the source of your text field try adding your link in this format:

<a href="javascript:parseContent(1);">Page 2</a>

The page numbering starts from 0 so a link to page 1 is parseContent(0), page 2 is parseContent(1) etc.

I've just tested it and this still works in v3.3 so should continue working if they do upgrade at some point in the future.
