Jing in version 3.1

Hello xerte users

We are currently testing version 3 and found that LOs with Jing SWF Files inserted display an exclamation mark. They still work but is this something to worry about? see screenshot

Using SWF is something you should be moving away from, yes, in our view the world is moving away from Flash, and we are no longer going to be actively supporting it in Xerte ONline Toolktis. It will continue to work fo as long as long as you have a flash player in your browser, but our advice is to move away from it,

Just to add to what Julian has said...
The exclamation means that the page-type has been deprecated and will not appear as an option under the insert menu for new LO's but will still work for existing LO's. However just convert your Jing output to .mp4 and use the video page instead and you'll have wider compatibility for non-flash devices. Better still upload to a streaming service and embed from there.
