Hi All,
I finally got around to updating our Xerte install to v3.1 today. Really happy with the new authoring tools, should make creating content much easier. Since updating however some of the text is displaying differently (size weight) from page to page, even sometimes within the same page. I have noticed this only happens when using certain skins (xerte toolkits, black and white and a couple of others). This colud all be down to some markup I had used in the original but I can't spot any reason for it. Anybody got any ideas?
Many thanks

This sounds like it might be related to the new responsive text feature. Several themes can now be made responsive so that the text will resize according to the window/device size. Could you share a screenshot of one of these problem projects please? Then if Ron's around he might be able to shed some light on whether it's expected behaviour or a problem with the stylesheets.

Thanks

The responsive text setting won't override styles manually applied in text boxes and shouldn't.
Also existing text in older lo's sometimes needs to be edited first before the styles kick in e.g auto converts cr to p tags etc

I experienced the same after migration from v2.1 to v.3.1. I use the standard Xerte theme. My way of fixing was to tag the font size (e.g. 14 pt) to all pages and paragraphs.

If you want responsive text in the main XOT template then you definitely shouldn't apply specific font sizes via the wysiwyg editor.

If you want more granular control over responsive font sizes on different pages just use responsive css in those pages via source view or add your own stylesheet. Otherwise just remove any specified font size changes and tick the responsive text option attached to the learning object properties. New LO's will have this ticked by default and should display responsive text.

Any pages in existing LO's that don't display responsive text will either have local sizes applied that need to be removed or were created with old flash editor and need to have any small edit to be converted to v3 format where <p> tags are automatically added.
