Trouble adding videos or photos to a page

In my C: there is a xampp folder but I could not find a xampp\htdocs\xertetoolkits folder even with a search.

So what did you fill in on Page 13? Where did you extract the Xerte installer zip?

You should extract the installer ziip file into c:\xampp\htdocs\xertetoolkits.

Then you can continue with the step of page 14.

Okay, so I went back to my C: then to the xampp folder then to the htdocs folder and extracted all files from the xertetoolkits_2.0 folder. But when I go back and look in that same location, I don't see a c:\xampp\htdocs\xertetoolkts folder.

Should I back up, uninstall everything and try again. This is getting pretty convoluted.

Right, so I take it there is a file called version.txt and index.php in your htdocs folder?

The way the InstallGuide suggests that you extract the .zip by right clicking and than type in the locatation: c:\xampp\htdocs\xertetoolkits

Then a folder xertetoolkits is created, and in that new folder the contents of the xertetoolkits_2.0 folder are extracted.

So

1. Remove everything you have in c:\xampp\htdocs
2. Create a new folder "xertetoolkits" in c:\xampp\htdocs
3. Extract the files form the xertetoolkits_2.0 folder into c:\xampp\htdocs\xertetoolkits

Now you should be able to continue the install.

Okay, thanks. I now seem to be installed. Now do I go back and see if the Wordpress plugin works or do I build my projects online and some how import them into my site?

For now, try and see whther everything is working for you in the xampp install. (http://localhost/xertetoolkits)
