make an image object move around on the screen werd gestart door teacherjonny
In Authorware,,using the "motion" icon I was able to make an image object move around the screen between a series of points. I want to teach the recognition of a foreign alphabet by putting letter symbols on balloons which float around the screen. When an audio plays the name of the letter the learner has to click on the correct balloon. If the click was on the correct balloon then it disappears. If s/he clicks on the wrong balloon an audio plays that says "incorrect" So I used a motion icon for each balloon (I may have had 5 "letters" floating around at the same time).
Is there a way I do this on Xerte?
Thank you.

This isn't possible on Xerte. Authorware is something some of used a while back but I haven't heard it mentioned in ages.
There would be quite a few accessibility issues with designing activities that require the physical dragging of a mouse to drop an item to a moving target. I suggest changing it to a simple matching exercise?

I understand. But is there a way in Xerte to make multiple objects move along a path on a single screen?
Thanks.

OK, a simple matching exercise. So let's say that I'm teaching Spanish and I want the student to drag the Spanish word for bird to a picture of a bird. When s/he drags pajaro to the bird image an audio plays that word and also gives me audio feedback in Spanish.. On that same screen are pictures of other animals and other Spanish words. Can I do that in Xerte and which template shall I use? Thank you.

Hey! You can actually do this with a bit of CSS if you're comfortable with it. You can add a class to your image and then use a simple @keyframes animation in the Optional Styles box. It’s a great way to get a smooth loop without needing complex plugins. Just be careful with the speed - since this is the accessibility forum, it’s always good to make sure the movement isn't too distracting for the learner!
