I need to reinstall xerte on a server and I am getting a "forbidden" error that prevents me from the installation. Is there a file that needs to be removed that prevents malicious tampering, and that file is blocking me? Can you help.
Thank you

No, this is most likely something in the webserver (apache). Or (unlikely) the installation is not complete and the whole setup folder is missing. If the last is the case, than unzip an installation zip file over your installation to remedy that.

Thanks, Tom. You were correct. The problem was with the server and I think it has been fixed. Now I would like to do a reinstall in such a way that I can reuse all of the learning object that had been created. I had previously backed up the user files folder, the error logs, import, library folders and the database.php file. Is there a way that I can do a fresh install and retain the contents of the user files? Is there a guide somewhere on the xerte site to instruct me? Is it necessary for me to use the old database or can I do a total fresh install and then still use those old LO s? I shoujld note that in a previous attempt to install, the install was successful but I could not log in.
Thank you
