Xerte sandpits - what are they and how do they help me?

Xerte toolkits is a powerful free tool with which you can create interactive, mobile-friendly content with high accessibility. However, it needs to be installed on your server by someone with technical skills before ordinary teaching staff can use it.

But technical teams don't like extra work unless you can prove it is worth installing. But how do you prove it without evidence of things you've created? And how can you create exemplars if it isn't installed?

This month's free Xerte Friday webinar (27th Sept, 13:00 London time) looks at how a Xerte sandpit area can get round this problem. The session explores three different sandpit installations that allow you to "borrow" a Xerte installation for a few weeks - long enough to create some resources for demonstration purposes. With tips on getting started in Xerte Toolkits and guidance on how to influence senior managers this session could be valuable in helping you get started on your own Xerte install for your own organisation. Please note: TechDis is using a new webinar platform - please register on the system (free registration) as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
