In response to a request for information on synching text with audio, elsewhere on the Forum, I have attached a Word doc explaining how I have made words or phrases links which autoplay some audio on click. No audio player controls are displayed; the learner just hears the audio and can click again to hear the audio again. Here an example (on page 3) of how the learner experiences this

This involves inserting and editing a bit of code in Source view. It's time-consuming to do if you have lots of recordings, and if you (like me) are not confident in editing code, it's easier to do if you are inserting the code into a blank Source view window (e.g. for an item in Categories). Many thanks to Takeshi Adachi of the University of Reading, UK, for showing me how to do this.

I have a question related to the Drag-and-Drop Labeling activity in Xerte. Is it possible to replace text labels with images in this activity? I believe that using images instead of text labels could enhance the user experience.

Yes, you can make images draggable objects in Drag and Drop Labelling. Here's an example;

Here's how I did this;

1. When I added each hotspot I imported an image into the Text window.
2. Then I viewed the image in Source view, and cut the code snippet
3. I opened the Title window, opened Source view there and pasted in the code snippet.

You can save time by importing all the images you need as a batch. This only displayed well for me on a laptop or PC. I don't know if there is a way to have the images resize depending on the screen size.

I would like to know if it's possible to change the background color of the categories in the interactive page to enhance the animation effect. Additionally, could you please let me know if there is a way to increase the size of the green check icon (✔️) and the red cross icon (❌)?

I'm afraid I don't know the answers to your 2 questions. I'm an English teacher, rather than an IT specialist, so my technical knowledge is limited to what I've acquired over the years. I'm hoping that one of the developers will be able to help you!

I guess when you're asking about changing the background colour in Categories, you want to change the colours of the drop zones (the columns into which you drag items) not the background colour of the draggable items?

I agree that in some pages the size of the ticks and crosses is a little small. If you untick Responsive Text in the Project Settings they will display a little larger, but that might create other display problems.
