Not sure if this is in the right place but does anyone know where I can find information on creating a custom interface for Xerte learning objects.

Hi John,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Xerte Online Toolkits v3 (which is in beta just now but due for release in the next few weeks) allows you to change the theme that is used between 1 of 6 available themes.

You can also just customise the style sheets (view the source of the LO and look for .css files near the top) to do whatever you wish although you will need to know a lot of css to do this.

No worries John. Installed v3 the other day. Had a quick play I'll look at the templates, impressed with the new editor though and loving the WYSIWYG editor.

Cool. Yes the new editor and workspace are great. and being able to edit LOs 'in the field' on an iPad is great. It has such potential.

Hi John

you mentioned the css to change a theme for a LO. Is there a possiblility to add e new theme to my installation? If yes, how can it be done?

Look into the folder themes/Nottingham

Pick a theme that is closest to the design you want (these are just folders) and copy it to a new folder with a new name.

Edit the name of the .info file inside the folder, and give it the same name as the floder. Also, edit that file, and put the new names in it. Basically you have now your new theme, and you can customize the buttons and css files.
