Thanks John

This has fixed the single answer feedback issue.
There is still an issue with multiple answer feedback. I've attached another screenshot. The correct answer is when boxes 1,3 & 4 are selected.

Hope this helps
Vicky

Hi,

Having checked with the old version, I think that this is actually the correct functionality for multiple selection. The feedback is supposed to be a descriptive message about why that answer might be considered right or wrong, not an indicator of it's actual 'correctness'.

I will check with Julian but you should see the same functionality if, whilst in the editor and on that particular page you hold down Ctrl and press the Play button to invoke the 'alternative' Flash engine. It should also be showing the 3 feedback messages presented above...

Thanks John
I wondered if that might be the case.
Would 2 feedback options i.e. Incorrect combination and correct combination feedback be a possible future development?

Thanks again
Vicky

I don't see why it couldn't be expanded to do that and turn off individual option feedback.

It would be useful if you could post something along those lines in the forum Wishlist category, along with some brief outline of when it would be useful and why the current setup is not meeting your needs. Someone will then take a look at it, possibly me, but more than likely one of the others who is dealing with that stuff on a more day-to-day basis...

Thanks for your help fixing the main issues, it's much appreciated.

The principle we designed around was that it is important to give users feedback for every option: it's important to say to people who got something right why it was right, in case they were right for the wrong reasons, or guessed. In the case of a multiple answer question, each selected answer will display it's feedback when submitted. So you can say;

Which of these were British Primeministers?

Winston Churchill [fb: yes, Winston Churchill was a UK PM]
Tony Blair [fb: yes, Tony Blair was a UK PM]
George W Bush [fb: No, GWB may be many things, but a UK PM is not one of them]

If you haven't found all the right answers yet, you are told 'You have not selected all of the correct answers] so the user can try again.
