Hi, I work on a project called CodeTaal at the Utrecht University. It is a method to teach Dutch children with DLD English by training their language skills at a meta level.
I use the 'fill in the blanks' exercise for most of the lessons*. This works great so far, and pilot schools are enthusiastic. However, there seems to be a problem with the randomization of distractors and correct answers. The correct answers tend to be on the left, while the distractors tend to be on the right side of the screen. This could potentially affect the learning because children will find this out at some point. Is there a way I can fix this myself, or is it a deeper problem?

*I wanted to add links to show an example, but because I am a new user, this is not possible. To see an example of CodeTaal, check the .txt file in the attatchment

Hi Teun,

We will look in to this and if it is easy to fix we will change this for the next release.

Bye,

Hi Teun/Inge,

I noticed a bug in the sort routine for this page which I have now committed a fix for. Hopefully that is what was causing the issue.

Hi John and Inge,

Thank you so much for looking into this!

The problem still seems to appear. Is this because the update will appear in the next release?

Hi Teun,

That will be in the next release. We 'll hope the next release will be somewhere in the coming weeks... with the Xerte Team we are working hard on that :)

Bye,
Inge
