I have been told we are using: version 3.5.3 (upgraded in Nov 2017).

That is quite old. We're at 3.7.14 (Xerte X, named X beacuse of it's 10 year aniversary) now.

We'll be releasing 3.8 soon. It's fixed in the Xerte 3.6 release. But I cannot just send you the fixed file, as there have been too many changes.

You will need to request an update.
