I'm interested to know what constitutes a "play" with Xerte Online Toolkit learning objects. I'm presuming its how many times someone accesses the learning objects but is a single play based on number of pages visited or amount of time the learning object is open?

We are currently on v3.6 and are aware there us more usage stats in Xerte X via xAPI. Could be several more months until we move to Xerte X.

TIA,
Alison

Hi Alison
it's how many times the public view of the LO has been viewed e.g. via /play.php?template_id=x or in some cases /play_x

It's just the loading/viewing of the LO not individual pages etc.

In the latest developer code (not Xerte X) the play count is now displayed in the middle panel of the workspace when each public project is selected.

Thanks for confirming Ron,

Looking forward to getting xAPI up and running at some point in the near future.

Thanks,
Alison
