In this session we will look at both strategic and practical considerations when it comes to choice and use of different authoring tools. Why looking for a one size fits all tool is flawed strategy and a huge mistake. We will compare different tools and what each is best for and why very few tools, if any, compete with Xerte when it comes to a tool for everyone to use and why it doesn't have to be an either/or choice anyway. The very best learning content is often the result of collaborative development using different skills, different tools and everyone's expertise! The session will include comparing Xerte with commercial tools like Articulate Storyline, the pros and cons of each and look at using Xerte, Storyline and content from other tools together including how to replicate examples of Storyline design and functionality in Xerte.
