Hello,

I would like to know exactly how I can add templates to my Xerte Online Toolkits installation.
It's a local installation with a XAMPP server.
I have found how to access the admin page, and the CENTRAL TEMPLATES page.

Now 2 questions:
- where can I download the templates from?
- Once ftped, where should I put them on my hard disk?
I have the XOT latest version.

Thanks a lot.
Marie

Hi Marie,

I would have a look here: /xerte/modules/xerte/templates.
I assume here that XOT is install in a directory named xerte (the first one), and then that you didn't modify the installation process.
I hope this helps
If I can help I will do for sure...

Hi Eric,
Thanks, I found them in the directory C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\xertetoolkits\modules\xerte on my hard disk.
Any idea about my other question: where can I get some additional templates? I have only 3 for the moment. I have read in the release notes that there are 70.

Kind regards,
Marie

Hi
to clarify for others too...
There are currently 3 main 'project' templates in XOT which are:
1. The main XOT template with 70+ different page types
2. The site/bootstrap template
3. The RSS template
There are one or two others but by default this is what you will find installed. It sounds like your reference to reading about 70+ is referring to the different page types available in the main XOT template.

Hi Ron,

Sorry to disturb you...
In xerte\modules\xerte\templates I do have different sub directories:
biochemistry, Draw, GEN, Hotspots, mediaInteractions, multipersp, Nottingham, Numcalc, Pbl, Presentation, Rss and VPortfolio

As you can see I don't have any main XOT, nor stie/bootstrap templates.
I made a fresh install after downloading the XOT21 file.
Did I miss something or, is there a way to retreive the mentionned templates please ?
If I can help I will do for sure...

Hi Ron,
OK thanks for the info. The 70 figure refers to the pages, fine.

Then, my question is: how do I get the same blue template with buttons on right top as at that link:
xerte.org.uk/index.php?option=com_conten...n&Itemid=716&lang=en

Using the templastes I have by default in my XOT Installation, I get the one with black banners as in URL : www.xerte.org.uk/index.php?option=com_ku...emid=207&lang=en
or another one which is not the blue one.

Thanks for your help.

Hear you.
Marie
