SCORM output not passing grades to LMS

Hello,

I've just started playing with Xerte online toolkit (the stable 2.1 version) and managed to export a valid SCORM package, but cannot get it to register any scoring in Moodle (2.6, also 2.. Tested on the SCORM Cloud site ( cloud.scorm.com ), with the same sorry (lack of) result.

Is there anything that I must make sure to set in the options anywhere for the grading to work? I haven't seen posts on this forum where anyone would reports such issues..

That should have worked, and SCOMR Cloud used to work as well. Can you send me a file listing of what is in the zip package?

That was a test - I actually downloaded
vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xerte/play_139
using vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xerte/export_139
Then imported that into my installation and used Properties > Export > Get Scorm 1.2 package

Now I read more carefully that:
"Export for SCORM deployment: self contained, SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 enables tracking of Quiz scores e.g. into Moodle gradebook:"
While that "Mars" file does not have quizzes in it - I sort expected the pages to be tracked and more precise % status of progress reported than Complete-Incomplete.
I'll try and experiment with a quiz added when I find a moment and update my report.

It should track progress and the number of pages visited etc.

You should be able to use a SCORM 2004 package (it allows for more tracking).

Moodle does not support SCORM 2004 natively, so I'd rather not use that.
I'll try to test a bit more and get back with further news.

later versions of Moodle support Xerte Scorm 2004 export just fine including page tracking and quiz scores. However you really need to create and export your own LO because the shared export link like in the copy from Techdis you mention doesn't provide access to the SCORM settings in the LO that you would have when editing your own. You could of course import that LO and then edit it rather than starting from scratch and then check and set the SCORM settings before re-exporting.
