What is 'Media transcript' on first page object?

Does anybody know what the extra property 'media transcript' supose to do? I can't see anything changing when I use it.

If you ad da peice of global media to the LO, then you can also add a transcript that will show in the media player page that plays the media.

It also requires a particular file format to work. Fay built an Adobe Air app for creating that but not sure if the same thing works with mp4 now?

It should do: it works with mediaelement, rather than the format. It can be either plain text, or it can be chunked timed text file. I think the format is timed text. THe tool for making them is in the repo \src\Engine\MediaViewer\Chunker\air
