Interactivity > Dialogue

A page that presents a series of tasks requiring text-entry, one by one. As one text-entry box is successfully, completed another is revealed. Hints can be set which guide learners towards the correct answers.

Top Level: Core Properties

Property Description Type Additional information
Page Title Text that appears in header of published page Text
Page Text Content that appears in the left panel or at the top of the page (depending on Panel Width) Text+ (Toolbar) Use this to give the context or instructions for the task. Other content (e.g. images, audio, video) can be embedded here.
Attempts Before Hint The number of unsuccessful attempts to complete a text entry box before receiving a hint {0/1/2/3/4} Drop-down The hints are set in the Question panes.
Panel Width Dimension of the right panel (which includes the Question, the Check button and the Feedback) Choose from {Small/Medium/Large/Full}. Drop- down Full puts all the content in one pane. Experiment with this setting to take account of dimensions of content in each panel.

Answer Delimiter Delimiter for multiple acceptable answers - spaces are ignored. Text Default is “,” eg. Question: How many players are there in a hockey team? Answer: Eleven, 11
Case Sensitive Enforce specific capitalisation Tick box Add if it matters whether upper or lower case is used in answers

Click on New Question to set the first text-entry task.
