This Documentation page feature, at the Nested Page level, can be used to add text between interactive elements. This cannot be edited by the learner in Xerte, but can be edited in the downloaded Word document.

Core properties

Description Title Adds a title in bold, just above the displayed text (see row below) Text
Text Text displayed to learner. Text+ (Toolbar) Use this to add explanations, context or instructions for the task. Other content (e.g. images, audio, video) can be embedded here.

Click on the New Option button to add items in the list. For each option you need to add Text, and you can add a Label which displays only in the authoring interface.

Exclude From Allows you to hide this task (Title, Text, Check Box) either so that it does not appear to the learner at all, or so that it appears to the learner in the Learning Object, but not in the download. The second option is the default {Learning Object/Documentation} Drop-down

There are no Language Options for this feature.

Further information

You may not need to use this feature if you do not use titles in other Documentation features. On the other hand, if you want experiment with layout, it is easier to organise texts and tasks if you do use it.
