====== Media > Synched Video ======

This [[pagetypes|page]] allows for points on a video to be synched with sections of text.  The text can either build up as the video progresses (as in the demo below), or a new section of text can replace the previous one.

The **Transcript Reader **page type produces similar effects for audio.

| Pause on Synch Points | Pauses the video at synch points, so the learner has to restart it each time {**True**/False} | Drop-down | This may be useful if you want to give to time to reflect and possibly re-read the text. |
| Erase on Synch Points | At synch points "True" replaces the previous section of text with the the next text {**True**/False}, as an alternative to the text building up as the video progresses. | Drop-down | This effectively creates a slideshow synched with the video. |

There are **no Language Options** for this page type.

After you have created the settings and added the link to the video file, you need to add the **Synch Points **and the text that appears at each Synch Point.  Click on **New Synch Point.**

You can also add an Image to the synched text, as an Optional Property.
