This Documentation page feature, at the Nested Page level, adds a __multiple line__ text entry area into which the learner can type a response.  The text entry area can be expanded by the learner, using a grab handle in the bottom-right corner.

(In contrast, **New Text Box** adds a __one-line__ text entry box, which cannot be expanded by the learner).

There is an examples of a **Text Area **on Nested Page 2 of this demo.   If you complete all the Nested Pages, you can then download the content as a Word document to assess how it displays.

===== Further information =====

By using the **Placeholder Text** optional property you can create a task similar to the **Modify Exercise** page type in **Interactivity**, for example for an error correction task.  There is no built-in feedback, but this could be provided in another way, for example in an answer key on the next Nested Page.
