====== Adaptive Content: Source Interaction > Based on specific answer ====== **Source Interactions** can be thought of as links to Interactivity pages with instructions to record performance on them in specific ways. It is possible to add several Source Interactions to an **Adaptive Content** page to create the effect of a dashboard. The **Based on specific answer** Interaction Type (selected from a drop-down list - see table below) displays an individual learner's answer to __one__ option from __one__ **Multiple Choice Question**, or __one__ question from a **Quiz** or **Media Lesson**, or __one__ Multiple Choice Question on an **Interactive Video** page, compared to answers by other learners who completed the task. If you add a graph it displays answer options and the number of learners who chose each specific answer. ==== New Source Interaction > Based on specific answer: Core Properties ==== ^ **Property** ^ **Description** ^ **Type** ^ **Additional information** ^ | Title | Title for this Source Interaction | Text | | | Introduction | Text that is displayed before performance data | Text+ | | | Interaction type | Select **Based on specific answer** from the drop-down | Drop-down | | | URL of Xerte source installation | The URL of the Xerte installation from which the data is retrieved - you need to end this with a forward-slash (e.g. [[https://xerte.org.uk/]]). | URL | | | ID of Xerte learning object | The ID of the Xerte project from which the data is retrieved - this can be the same learning object or another one within the same installation | Number | The ID is automatically generated when the project is created, and can be read from the Project Details. | | Tracking Label of source | This makes a link between the Interactivity page, whose data you want to display, and this Adaptive Content page. You need to a) add a Tracking Label **on the Interactivity page**, as an Optional Property and b) enter the same Tracking Label **in the Source Interaction properties**. You must use **unique labels**, with underscores, numbers and letters, but no other types of character. | Text | It is a good idea to use short, but meaningful, Tracking Labels, because these are also displayed to learners on the Results Page. The Tracking Label needs to be in one of the following formats. For a link to __one__ MCQ it has to be **MCQLabel/MCQLabel**. (e.g. Question1/Question1). For one MCQ in a Quiz, it has to be **QuizTrackingLabel/MCQLabel**, (e.g. Quiz/Question1). | ==== Source Interaction > Based on specific answer: Optional Properties ==== ^ **Property** ^ Sub-property ^ **Description** ^ **Type** ^ **Additional information** ^ | Filtering | Filter on group from URL | Filter on groupname, where the groupname is extracted from the URL (group=groupname). | Tick box | \\ \\ | | ::: | Filter group name | Use this groupname if the groupname is not specified on the URL (group=groupname).
