Hi all.

At first I would like say hello to everybody. I'm new on this forum.
Xerte is very usefull authoring tool, but for my purposes i would like to use the online version.
I want put to my course flash content in 1280x800 resolution.
So I'm curious is it possible to change resolution (width and height) of my course created in XOT? I can't find any variables responsible for size of my course :(
I tried to change some values in php files, but it had no effect.
I looked for the solution in the internet, but there is no informations about this.
Thanks for any answer and sorry about my english.

Regards,
Thomas Seliga

It depends on your XOT version, but you can "change" the size... Default, Windows or full screen.
I therefore didn't find any custom size where you can state the expected height aand width.

Maybe a future development?
This could be a good question anyway :)
If I can help I will do for sure...

I was afraid of this, but:
on github I found the sources of XOT, there are the fla files. I wonder if is it possible by editing and building swf files once again?
Anybody has tried to do this.
Now I'm starting to look for places where I can change resolution of my courses. If I'll find - I'll tell you, if anybody knows, please tell :)

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

What I'm going to say can potentialy be a non ssens!
As XOT generate files before creating the zip archive, if you save at least twice the same curse, just changing the size attribute, wih a diff you may know wher the size is set and therefore interact with it.
Again, it may just be a stupid idea :)
If I can help I will do for sure...

The size of the popup window and the stage is determined on export. This all only holds for the flash version.

1. In the exported zipfile, you can change the size by changing the parameters of the call to rloObject.
2. The default is 800x600 and all pages are more or less hardcoded to that sixe.
3. You can, however change/add the stageSize attribute to the LO xml object in modules/xerte/parent_templates/Nottingham.rlt (i.e. stageSize="800,600"

But, like I said, XOT was never really created for flexible stage sizes.

Thank you for interest of my problem.
Julian Tenney from mailing list of nottingham.ac.uk solved my problem.
It is very easy: it's enough to export package as html5, and change of movie resolution works perfectly.

Cheers.
