Hi,
I'm currently trying to create a translation for Xerte (2.0).
is there any i18n-documentation for Xerte available? Or at least a filesystem-structure-definition or likewise?

greeting,
Felix

There is not much documentation yet, and there are really 3 parts
1. xml files for the various flash editors
2. xml files for the content of the content editor
3. the php and js include files for the xot website

The latter can be maintained and ranslated using a helper website : xertetrans.xerte.org.uk

login using gues/guest to have a look.

I can provide you with credeantials and a the rights to maintain the german translation if you want!

Thanks for that fast response.
At the moment I'm getting an HTTP-error 400 for xertetrans.xerte.org.uk.
Since I'm working the first day with Xerte I don't want to maintain a translation. At first I just need to get an overview. But thanks.

Felix

I'll check the URL (i probably made a mistake) and get back to you.

Short overview is almoast the same:

1. To provide LO (learning Objects) in a foreign language you (only) need to translate the run-time xml (see the languages folder of your installation)
2. To have a XOT installation in you're language you need to translate the php files and the js files in languages folder of xot
3. To be able to author LO's in your language you need to translate the xml files in the templates, and you would have great help with the xertrans website
